With a heart for animal rescue and a love for the art of calligraphy, our shop was created. I am so happy to have found a creative passion that not only helps support my family but gives me the opportunity to bring awareness to a cause I deeply care about. 10% of sales are donated to an animal rescue organization working to save, rehabilitate and find homes for animals in need. We will be donating to various organizations throughout the year so please visit the home page to see who we are currently supporting.

Hi, I'm Jacquelyn but call me Jax. I started my calligraphy journey when a friend asked if I wanted to join her at a calligraphy 101 class where I was instantly hooked! I quickly fell in love with the art form and it became a therapeutic outlet.
With a background in Public Relations and Project Management, I was about to embark on a new journey as a stay-at-home mom. With a baby on the way, I started to dream about what could be next and how I could combine my passion for calligraphy and animal rescue while home with my son. That is where the dream of Written For Rescue was born.
meet Jacquelyn (Jax)
Hi, I'm Bob. A country boy from Kentucky rescued by city folk in Chicago. Rescue Warriors saved me from an open access shelter and brought me to the suburbs of Illinois to be fostered by a family on a farm. My now forever family came to see me and it was love at first sight.
A few of my favorite things are treats (of course!), the dog beach, playing fetch and cuddling with my humans. I tend to act like a tough guy around other people but I am a big ole' softy at heart.
meet Bob
I am sweet, I am sassy, I am Tate. I was saved by ALIVE Rescue in Chicago, Illinois when I was found wandering in a park with a dog. Skinny with scratches, it was clear I had been living on the streets for a while.
My forever family fostered me through ALIVE Rescue. I bonded so quickly with everyone, including Bob, that it was clear I had found my home. Bob and I have been snuggling and wrestling ever since. A few of my favorites are chasing string, treats and giving my famous head butts.
